Physical Therapy Rehab
The benefits of aquatic therapy in conjunction with physical therapy rehabilitation:
Warm water (88 degrees)
Improve muscle function
Improve muscle flexibility
Improve aerobic conditioning
Gait training
Sensory Stimulation
Sport Injuries
Heat: The warm water relaxes muscles and allows for improved circulation and range of motion.
Buoyancy: Provides assistance and support to the body, decreases gravitational forces placed on the muscles and joints, and allows an individual to move more easily.
Hydrostatic Pressure: The water that surrounds the body, creates a pressure on the body that helps circulate blood and fluid from the arms and legs, reducing swelling.
Resistance: Water allows for improvement in muscle strength in all direction.

Aquatic Therapy is for pediatric and adult clients with musculoskeletal and sensory challenges. Aquatic Therapy use the properties of water to assist the patient in attaining function sooner in cases where traditional treatment approaches are not tolerated. The water provides a perfect environment for rehabilitation of the entire body as it reduces or eliminates the effect of gravity, allowing the patient to fully use their muscular abilities to work toward improved functioning.
